ASHERE THIGPEN

PAABSE PRESIDENT

President's Address
I am excited to lead and serve this first year as president of Plano Area Alliance of Black School Educators (PAABSE).

PAABSE is a local affiliate, which is governed by our state affiliate – the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators (TABSE), and our national affiliate – the National Association of Black School Educators (NABSE). The focus of my priorities as president, along with my executive board, will continue to align with the mission and vision of TABSE/NABSE which is to:

A. Provide professional training opportunities

B. Host networking opportunities

C. Advocate and promote community and youth development

D. Recognize outstanding students and educators

PABSE is for any educator that teaches, leads or influences children of African descent. We boldly and proudly do the work necessary to continue the unfinished legacy of our ancestors and founders. We are here to engage, empower, and uplift our african american children and communities.

Education and work are the levers that uplift a people- W E B Du Bois
