Montrail Davis is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. While there he majored in marketing and minored in management. He used the skills and knowledge he gained to enter the sales and finance industry. After five years of doing corporate work he decided to change to a profession that was more meaningful to him.

Montrail Davis is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University where he earned a Bachelors of Business Administration degree. While there he majored in marketing and minored in management. He used the skills and knowledge he gained to enter the sales and finance industry. After five years of doing corporate work he decided to change to a profession that was more meaningful to him.

Montrail started his teaching career in Garland ISD where he taught math and coached for five years. At this time he was introduced to the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators and became a member of the Garland Area Alliance of Black School Educators. TABSE commitment to improving the educational achievement of African-American students is the driving force that drove him to the organization.

Montrail left Garland ISD and took a position as a social studies teacher and coach in Plano ISD. While in Plano a group of educators noticed a need for African American students in the district and started the process for developing the Plano Area Alliance of Black School Educators. After three years of planning and organizing PAABSE became an affiliate of the Texas Alliance of Black School Educators on May 6, 2019. Montrail looks forward to being a driving force to help make a difference within Plano.

Ashley is a proud Navy wife and mom to 3 awesome kids. She attended Stephen F Austin State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is currently enrolled at Lamar University in their Masters of Educational Leadership program.

Ashley is a proud Navy wife and mom to 3 awesome kids. She attended Stephen F Austin State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and is currently enrolled at Lamar University in their Masters of Educational Leadership program. 

She began her teaching career in Plano ISD in 2005 and has previously served as the, Team leader, Science Department Chair, on the district's Science Curriculum Team, and now serves as an Instruction Coach at a middle school campus. She has served on the campus SBIC committee, advisory committee, AVID site team, PBIS committee, Mentor Liaison and serves as a leader in the Campus Culture and Climate committee.

 Ashley's mission in education is to help ALL students find a voice and build connections in the classroom, and INSPIRE educators that will challenge, encourage, and mold them into our future leaders.

Chilquita attended Wiliam Carey University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology. Chilquita is a native of Mississippi. She is a wife and a mother of two (Gregory and Shardae). She has been in many entities of education for 15 years, serving as a principal's secretary, teacher's assistant, and substitute teacher.

Chilquita attended Wiliam Carey University, where she received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Gerontology.  Chilquita is a native of Mississippi.  She is a wife and a mother of two (Gregory and Shardae).  She has been in many entities of education for 15 years, serving as a principal's secretary, teacher's assistant, and substitute teacher.  She joined Plano ISD last year (2021-2022) as a Special Education teacher.  She strives to build and maintain positive relationships.  She firmly believes the African proverb, "It takes a village to raise a child."

My calling into the teaching field began way before I was born. For as long back as my family history goes, we have been educators and administrators for all children of many different backgrounds. In my over 20 years of experience, I have taught in computer labs, math classrooms, special education, and coached basketball. The common theme across all grade levels of students is the need for positive relationships with their teachers.

I am very blessed to now work as a digital learning specialist at Plano ISD and contribute to helping educators and their students navigate the tech world and learn how to develop transformative learning design. I help support Dyslexia, English/Language Arts (ELA), Headstart, Early Childhood, Reading, and Special Education.

I am married to my best friend (Mark) and we have two boys (Connor and Cooper). Connor is a graduate of Plano East and will be studying in the Plan II program at UT Austin. Cooper is in the Health Science program at Williams High School. Our family enjoys tennis, hiking, swimming, and watching anything in the Marvel universe. I am excited to be part of PAABSE and look forward to being a positive contributor.

Brianna attended the University of the Incarnate Word, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies, with a double minor in reading and special education. She began her teaching career in Plano ISD in 2018 as an elementary special education teacher and still holds that same position.

Bri’s educational philosophy is to balance a student’s endless potential for growth with their unique experiences and walks of life help build essential connections in the classroom leading ALL students to reach their potential. She is not only focused on the core subjects, but helping her students become positive contributors to society from a young age that will carry into adulthood.

Kenya will be entering her 17th year in education as a Business and AVID teacher in Plano ISD. With a Bachelors in Business Administration from Stephen F. Austin and a Masters in Education from Concordia University Austin, Kenya's purpose is to empower all students to realize their goals and dreams. Kenya is the wife of Anthony Forrest and the mother of three sons. Kenya's educational philosophy is grounded in this statement: "To be a great teacher is to be a great student. Strive to solve problems, study past mistakes, and never stop learning"

Kim attended Stephen F. Austin State University, where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. She later attended Amberton University where she received her Masters degree in School Counseling. Kim has been in the education field for 17 years, serving as a teacher for 8 years and currently as a school counselor for the last 9. Kim joined Plano ISD in 2017. 

Her goal is to support and be an advocate for students and provide them with the tools they will need to succeed not only in the school setting but throughout life.

Frank Smith graduated from Grambling State University, earning his bachelor's degree in sociology and minoring in psychology. Frank started his career in education as a grad research assistant while earning his master's in social science. While in graduate school, he participated and presented research on gerontology and social and environmental justice.

Frank Smith graduated from Grambling State University, earning his bachelor's degree in sociology and minoring in psychology. Frank started his career in education as a grad research assistant while earning his master's in social science. While in graduate school, he participated and presented research on gerontology and social and environmental justice. 

He has worked in urban and suburban educational settings for over a decade. As campus behavior coordinator in Dallas, he planned and coordinated a campus-wide discipline program that reduced out-of-school suspensions by 68% and DAEP by 72%. In addition to discipline, he was a Student Advocate for Social and Emotional Learning for the "Huddle Ups" mentoring program partnered with Momentous Institute Inc. 

After serving several years in Dallas, he was recruited to work in Garland ISD at their first ACE model campus. While there, he was tasked to assist in implementing behavior intervention strategies that helped students develop the skills necessary to recognize and manage emotions. Additionally, he strives to establish healthy, long-term relationships with students and colleagues to continually instill confidence in them during their educational endeavors, professional lives, and beyond.
